| Robbers robbing a Pharmacy |
A popular Pharmacy in Calabar Known as Remcare Pharmacy was robbed yesterday afternoon. The incident which took place along the busy road of Marian by Ekong Ita saw some young men carting away with moneys and other valuables worth millions of Naira.
An eye witness who preferred to remain anonymous have this to say:
"Some armed men walked into Remcare around 2-3pm this afternoon, since the security inthat area is not too strong, they succeeded in robbing them".
It however, beats my imagination that such a busy street could be robbed even with the presence of security personnel usually found around the traffic light. Should we say that the Police officers were busy with their N50 busy with Taxi Drivers that they did not notice that robbers were operating in the area.
The out burst of robbery cases within Calabar metropolis had reduced until the recent attack of Remcare Pharmacy. It was only recently that the state Governor ordered that the state "Operation Skolumbo Squad" relocate to Calabar South were crime is said to be at its peak.
