Yesterday May, 22 saw the Governor of Cross River State Prof. Sen. Ben Ayade indefinitely suspending the unveiling of the new logo.
The information was made available to news men yesterday afternoon.
Recall that TND had on Saturday 20th May published a report that as part of the Cross River @50 celebration the state government was planning to unveil a new logo/brand for the state.
This plan was met with serious opposition from citizenry, who took their anger and displeasure about the proposed plan to their social media platforms.
As a listening and democratic governor, Ayade had to put a hold to the proposed unveiling of the said logo.
What TDN is yet to find out is whether the governor still have plans to unveil the logo on a later date? If so is which of the logos is he going unveil as there are many logos making rounds on social media.
As it stands, nobody seems to know the exact logo the governor was planning to unveil as new logos with different animals and colours kept emerging on social media.

Social commentators and political observers have observed that this is the first of its kind in a long while where citizens rose up and made their voice heard as it concerns government unfavorable decision.
