The Speaker of the 8th Cross River State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. John Gaul Lebo, has been invited by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Sloan School of Management to participate in a fresh research into a topical issue by the MIT Centre for Information Systems Research (CISR) bordering on exploring 'how companies use data and analytics to increase a product's value... Effectively make money from information'.

Thedailynewsng gathered from a letter dated 22nd May 2018, signed by the Associate Dean of Executive Education in the MIT Sloan School of Management, Dr Peter Hirst, and addressed to Mr. John Gual Lebo, the research is a 2 part survey for product managers and business executives, that is, Data Wrapping Survey and Data Monetisation Survey, respectively.

The data wrapping survey aims at understanding how companies use data and analytics to increase product value and build competitive advantage while Data monetisation survey seeks to understand how companies effectively make money from information and create competitive advantage

The letter to the speaker reads in part, 'Dear John,... We are inviting you to participate in some fresh topical research. Dr Barbara Wixom, Principal Research Scientist at the MIT Centre for Information Systems Research (CISR) is conducting two surveys and invites to participate'.

The Technology savvy and highly intellectual Rt. Hon. John Gaul Lebo might just be the first Cross Riverian to invited by the Institute to be part of its research team.
