Ayade revokes Ingwu's appointment VC of CRUTECH, 7 names submitted for consideration.

According to a report from NegroidHaven, the governor of Cross River state, his Excellency, Sen. Prof. Benedict Ayade has reversed the decision of the Governing Council of the Cross River University of Technology, CRUTECH in the appointment of, Vice Chancellor Prof. Unimke Ingwu as acting VC of the state-owned institution. 



 The Chairman of the University's Governing Council, Dr Emil Inyang, made this known to members of the council in an emergency meeting held in the early hours of this morning.



According to Dr. Emil, 'the governor is of the opinion that we open up the acting issue, he has requested that we forward to him the names of all those we think are qualified. He wants a wider option. 

So, we have forwarded seven names to him. Anyone who finally emerges as the Acting Vice Chancellor would not be eligible to be reappointed in substantive capacity. 


Sources has it that in his reaction, the displaced VC, Prof. Ingwu walked out of the council-in-session in obvious reasons of embarrassment.


Recall that information had already gone out yesterday that arising from the Governing council Meeting of the Cross River University of Technology held on Tuesday, April 30th 2Vice-ChancellorVice Chancellor has been announced for the state-owned institution. He is Prof. Emmanuel Unimke Ingwu.


Prof. Ingwu is a  professor of Adult Education and the immediate past Deputy Vice Chancellor Academics.
