SSG; WHO TAKES THE CAP, EQUITY OR GODFATHERISM ?
Two illustrious and cerebral sons of Central Cross have been penciled for appointment to the coveted post of Secretary to State Government, S S G,. One is baked by A powerful benefactor, the other backed by equity.
These two are: Rev Father Bob Etta and the other, immediate past Speaker of the Cross River Sate House of Assembly Rt Hon Jon Gaul Lebo
While Etta comes from Boki with two state constituencies and yet to have any major appointment or elected post in the present political setup, Lebo is from Abi which already has a House of Reps member in the person of Dr Alex Egbona who was elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress. APC, to represent Abi/ Yakkur federal constituency.
Opinions among stakeholders oscillate on both sides but tilts somewhat on the side of Etta whose Boki is yet to have anything and also the immediate past occupant of the position, Mrs Tina Agbor is from the local government area and the feelings of majority of people sought on the issue favour the side of equity.
Howbeit, in political calculus, it is who pulls the strongest force that wins., the people are watching events.
