Joining the State Publicity Secretary was Hon. Prince Edet Omin, the Councillor of Ward 10 and the Chairmanship Candidate of Calabar Municipal in the Labour Party. He also leaned in his voice to support the Labour Party which he describes as the only party that will solve the teething problems of Nigeria. In his words, "the Labour Party understands the importance of living and staying together. Here, everyone matters and that is why we must be united in our struggle to better our lots in this country, and together we will succeed.
Earlier, the Chapter Chairman, Rev. Harrison Efa stated that Ward 10 has always been very unique in her organization and hence, occupies a special place in the chapter, maybe because it is the only Ward in Municipal with double-digit. He seized the opportunity to ventilate on the candidacy of HE. Mr. Peter Obi, Rt. Hon. Daniel Asuquo who is contesting for senate, Cross River South, and Hon. Ekpenyong Akiba.
"I speak in good authority about our candidates, especially about their track records. They have been tested and trusted. We have been praying for the kind of leadership we see in the person of Dansuki. The records are available for everyone to see. If we have the kind of representation evident in Akamkpa/Biase here, our story would have been different. We are in the seat of the government of the state yet, we cannot be rated along the line of the quality of representation we see over there. His interest in the senatorial race is a blessing and prayers answered.
In his remarks, the Ward Chairman, Mr. Anieno Abraham thanked the leadership of the party in the state and chapter for always playing the fatherly role. Your depth in addressing situations is a reflection of the ideals of our party which gives credence to the family. It is on this note that you are seeing our brothers of the Hausa extraction identify with us and are very committed to delivering all our Candidates. We have heard so much about Dansuki our very own, and he will have all our support full time.
Similarly, Mr. Awal Mohammed, the spokesperson of the Hausa community expressed great delight at the recognition given to them to the point of having their women group inaugurated into the mainstream of the ward coordination.
