ASUU STRIKE: See when schools will resume

The Academic Staff Union Of Universities (ASUU) has announced 17th October 2022 as the latest resumption date for Federal and state Universities in Nigeria.

This means that all schools owned by Federal and state governments will reopen on the 17th October 2022.

However, the above date is subject to change.

If the Federal Government should reach an agreement with ASUU by meeting at least 80% of ASUU demands then the strike will be suspended and school resume.

Earlier, the Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, believes the suspension of the strike embarked on by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), is dependent on the union.

He added that He is worried by the incessant strikes in public universities in Nigeria, stressing that "he has not slept" in a bid to see that the schools are reopened.

The national president of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Prof Emmanuel Osodeke, has said the warning strike embarked upon by the union on February 14, would soon be truncated
