The gubernatorial candidate of the people's Redemption Party(PRP), Pst. Dr. Usani Uguru Usani, in a meeting with a section of Clergies from Cross River State under the platform of the Transformation Prayer Network has disclosed why Christians who contest for elective offices fail to win elections in Nigeria.
Usani while sensitizing the group on the need to be actively involved in politics made conspicuous claims on why Christians fail elections. He frowned seriously at Christians being non-partisan in politics yet expecting change in the polity.
He charged all that as "Light of the World", the church must be boldly conspicuously involved in politics and exhibit a high degree of boldness and unusual appetite for the truth as the truth is capable of setting all free.
Usani intimated the people of his political ambition to contest for the seat of Governor, Cross River State but this time, under the Platform of the People's Redemption Party.
He averred that him being consistent in the race is for the betterment of the people and as such, there is need for believers to register and get their PVCs ready in order to participate in election with a unified interest and purpose for 2023.
Usani vowed never to fail in his duties as Governor when elected and exuded immeasurable faith that in the coming elections, 'the will of God for Cross River State will be done.'
Accompanying Usani to this gathering were family, friends, loved ones and strong supporters.
The 'Transformation Prayer Network', a non-denominational body comprising of men and women of God who meet, discuss and seek the face of God were elated to have Usani in their midst as he was prayed for and encouraged to trust God for victory.
