At a thank you meeting with the elders, party executives of the Labour Party at the chapter and wards, support groups et al, of Calabar Municipality, Rt. Hon. Daniel Asuquo used the occasion to highlight a few issues in the country, the state, the senatorial district, and a little about what he intends to bring to the people.

"Politics is not an avenue to amass wealth, but a platform to help the populace".
"The era of electoral manipulations is over. Dispel the fear of your votes not counting because in the 2023 general elections it is about BVAs and so every vote must count. Thanks to INEC".
"I also see political privilege as being turn by turn, hence, it is our resolve that Akamkpa/Biase Federal Constituency should produce the next Senator in Cross River South, not just because of equity and fairness, but because we are competent".
In his explanation, he said, "Labour Party has people, not politicians, and I want to serve you, but you have to canvass for votes and protect same for all the Obidient candidates in Labour Party".
"Politics is not about big names but about building capacity and preparing Southern Cross Riverians, nay Nigerians to take back what belongs to them as well as enjoy the dividends of Democracy".
"I excused myself from the injustice in PDP and later found solace in the Labour Party. And so, I encourage the people to support all candidates of the Labour Party because it reflects everything humanity depicts".
"As to what I am bringing to the table, I promise to be a loud voice in the Senate for the people of Southern Senatorial District in Cross River and to also work in one accord with Peter Obi as President for a better Nigeria.
