Why I was dramatic during the reconciliation of Otu and Owan - APC chairman

Alphonsus in appreciation to God, during the reconciliation moves by Tinubu

Chairman of All Progressives Congress, APC in Cross River State, Barr Alphonsus Eba has reacted to social media statements accusing of being dramatic during the recently held South South Leaders TownHall meeting of his party in Calabar.

Alphonsus who was speaking exclusively to Impact Media said the pronouncements made by the National Leader and Presidential candidate of his party, Bola Ahmed Tinubu gave him confidence and peace of mind that Peace and Unity has finally returned to the party.

"When I heard our incoming president, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu telling Sen. John Owan Enoh to freeze, to stand by the decision of the party, I knew that help has come out, with this peace and unity I am the happiest man today."

"To tell you the truth, it's victory for senator John Owan Enoh, it's victory for senator Bassey Edet Otu and every member of the party, because we will be a united APC."
Social media discussions where Egba was accused of being dramatic.

He added that the reconciliation moves by Tinubu is victory for all, both Senator John Owan Enoh and Prince Bassey Edet Otu who is currently the Party's Gubernatorial candidate and indeed the entire members of the party. Stating that with this renewed hope and unity in the party, APC will surely come out victorious in all the elections from top to bottom.

Egba noted that the personality and pedigree of the governorship candidate, makes him outstanding as it will reflect in the ballot giving APC a landslide victory come March 2023.

"A man whose, political and administrative sagacity has been proven over time. A zaa in legislative duty, from the House of Representatives to the Senate.
All the attributes, all the alliterations goes with the 'C' Capacity, Competence, Capability are an embodiment of one man, that is the man, that is the man, Cross River State truly need in 2023."

Speaking further, Eba, said the governor's Ayade resolution and subsequent support to the "Back to South" movement played a major role in the emergence of a Southerner as the standardbearer of the party.

"Governor Ayade is a promise keeper, he has kept faith, he renewed the people of Southern Senatorial District. Came up openly and stamped his feet on the back to South movement and today that is history. And by the special grace of God, a son of the Southern Senatorial District, in person of Senator Bassey Edet Otu, will become the next governor of Cross River State."

Recall that Sen. Owan Enoh had taken the party and it's candidate, Prince Bassey Otu to court where he prayed the court pronounce him the flag bearer of the party insisting that the party's  governorship screening committee didn't clear Otu to participate in the governorship primary election. Therefore, having scored the second-highest votes in the election, he should be made the standard bearer of the party.
