CNPP collapse structure for DANSUKI, slams APC, Asuquo Ekpenyong

As the tussle for the soul of C'River Southern Senatorial district gets tougher with the election data drawing closer, an independent political pressure group made of over 20 political parties known as Conference of Nigerian Political Parties (CNPP), has announced their resolve to collapse structure across parties lines in a bid to ensure that Hon. Daniel Asuquo (Dansuki), the  Labour Party's candidate for the Cross River State  Southern Senatorial District emerge winner of the February 25th elections.

The coalition of political pressure groups, political parties and political associations, who paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Daniel Asuquo (Dansuki), at his campaign office argued that due to the lack of internal party democracy, individuals lacking the capacity to provide purposeful leadership are sometimes foisted on the people, making the consequence of such gimmicks on the masses better imagined than explained

As a show of solidarity, the CNPP also urged the All Progressives Congress (APC) to withdraw whatever case they may have in court against Hon. Asuquo, as the act was tantamount to fighting the good people of Cross River State Southern Senatorial District.

The group described the court action by the APC as an act of desperation and fear, citing that as a ruling party, the APC should be bold enough to stand a fair election without trying to pull any candidate down through obnoxious means, noting that Cross Riverians are very ready express

their mandate at the polls.

As part of the closing remarks, the group cautioned the general public, that anyone who wishes to contest for an elective position, must first climb the ropes, follow due processes of learning and capacity development, rather than try to cut corners.
