CALABAR —The Cross River State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists has described the first lady of Cross River State Her Excellency, Bishop Dr. Eyoanwan Bassey Otu as a humanitarian whose visionary leadership inspires many to greater achievements.
In a congratulatory message signed by Archibong Bassey, the state Chairman of NUJ to the First Lady in celebration of her recognition and induction into the prestigious UN 1000 African Women Network in New York. The union described the recognition as well deserved adding that the first lady being a beacon of selfless service and a champion of the 'People-First' governance philosophy, she exemplify true leadership, and the union is proud to celebrate the remarkable milestone with her.
"This global honor is a testament to your unwavering dedication to humanitarian service, social development, and the empowerment of women and girls. Your visionary leadership, compassion, and impactful initiatives continue to inspire hope and transform lives, not just in Cross River State but beyond." The statement reads in part.
Bassey, expressed believe that the recognition by the United Nations 1000 African Women Network in New York will propel the First Lady to do more for women, girls and Humanity in social development, health and empowerments programs.
