CALABAR – Former Member of the House of Representatives, **Daniel Asuquo**, has reaffirmed his commitment to gender equality and inclusive governance as the world marks this year's International Women's Day.
In a statement issued to commemorate the occasion, Dansuki congratulated women across Cross River State, Nigeria, and the world, describing them as the backbone of families, communities, and national development. He emphasized that women play critical roles in agriculture, education, entrepreneurship, peacebuilding, governance, and social development.
He also paid special tribute to the Wife of the Governor of Cross River State for her contributions toward advancing initiatives that support women and families.
