Constitutional Amendment went wrong In Cross River State: The Yakurr 1 perspective

The Constitution Amendment of the National Assembly which held at Cultural Centre Calabar, Cross River state where the 8th Cross River State House of Assembly convoked a Town Hall Meeting/Public Hearing was set in a chaos when the spoke man for Yakurr 1 Mr. Joe Ewah took the stage.

Mr. Ewah despite the unanimous support of the 25 constituencies in Cross River State argued that Yakurr I are opposing 4 of the 15 alterations made by NASS particularly, the idea of :

*Financial Independence of the 36 States Houses of Assembly

*Local Government Autonomy

*Independent Candidature...

Interestingly, this wasn't a consensus of Yakurr I. 

Mr  Ewah was seriously booed at as the Crowd shouted and threw sachet and bottle water container at him forcing him to unceremoniously leave the stage 

Posting the incidence on facebook Mr. Efio-Ita Nyok said  'I foresee a future where the masses will have their say via the ballot box. Hmmmm!

The review ended with a total votes of 24 : 1. I am calling on the 8th CRSHA to vote come Thursday in favour of the 24 : 1 votes of today.
