Southeast Governors bans all activities of Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB in the region

The SouthEast Governors Forum has banned all activities of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB in the Southeast region.

The forum rose from its emergency security meeting held today at Enugu State government House, to announce the ban.

Reading out a ten-point communiqué reached at the end of the meeting, the Chairman of the Forum and Governor of Ebonyi state, Engr Dave Umahi said they are committed to taking strategic steps towards realizing the restructuring agitations in the country.

The forum further appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari to immediately withdraw the Military troupes deployed to the SouthEast region so as to douse the tension already created in the polity, assuring that they will follow up ongoing investigation into allegations of killings and torture by the Military.
