In what seems like a reply to Dr. Asuquo Otu Ekpenyong's
Open letter to the digital governor of Cross River state Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade
titled Facing the Fragile Truth, a facebook user known as Effiong Bassey Eno has
stood up to defend his dear governor.
In his defends which was posted below the thread where
Dr. Ekpenyong's open letter was posted by TDN, Mr. Eno said there's nothing
wrong with Cross River State rather what the state is currently facing is what he
termed "Volumes of sponsored blackmail and propaganda” against the
Governor.
In his statement, Eno believes Ayade is the Messiah sent
by God to bring Cross River State out of debts and economic doldrums. He noted
that Ayade is being fought by powers using volumes of sponsored blackmail and
propaganda all in a bid to remove him from office.
Eno went further to reveal that Ayade touched the Tiger's
tail when he envisioned Super Highway and deep Seaport projects, a project
which he believes to be God sent to emancipate and bring the state out of
obscurity.
"Nothing is wrong with Cross River
except the recent volumes of sponsored blackmail and propaganda to remove the
person that has the vision of taking Cross River out of debts and economic doldrum,
he touched the tiger's tell forever dreaming to build a superhighway and
seaport, a project that is God sent to emancipate the state but all of a sudden
serious childish opposition started." He said
Eno rather attributed the problem of the state to recent
destructive critics and their selfish sponsors.
According to him "You can see here that the real
problem we have in our state is the recent swarm of destructive critics and
their selfish sponsors who are only targeting a political office and would
never perform magic. The same thing they were criticizing another person they
even do worst."
The Social media user also noted that no government has
been able to solve all the problems of its citizenry at once, stating that
while the government tries to handle some projects, others are yet to be
attended to and others are still on the drawing board.
Mr. Eno’s statement reads in full:
Nothing is wrong with Cross
River except the recent volumes of sponsored blackmail and propaganda to remove
the person that has the vision of taking Cross River out of debts and economic
doldrum, he touched the tiger's tell forever dreaming to build a superhighway
and seaport, a project that is God sent to emancipate the state but all of a
sudden serious childish opposition started , the EIA, the court injunctions,
the NGOs, villages were deceived to protest against the project that would
change their fortunes to generations yet unborn. I heard a prominent Cross
Riverian whom I believe must have been brainwashed saying "we will just
remove him (the Gov) and that his signature project would stop" if that is
the case then they don't have any good intention for the masses.
I weep for my people because the
bible says, my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. He would have been
the best gov. If he had collected loans and shared to his critics and to every
family, built skyscrapers and flyovers everywhere and plunged us into more
grievous debts. Cross River State Ekuyak me owo ebianga mbufo nyin isibetkebet
nti nkpo.
Things cant continue the way they
were. If you do the same thing the same way every time you'll always have the
same result. The previous administrators got heavy loans did some projects but
those loans have skyrocketed now and are hanging on the neck of the present
administration as debts.
There is no government in the
world that solves all the state or Nation's problems at the same time. One and
a few other things are handled at a time while others get pending to be
attended to later but some critics do lack this understanding nose about to lay
hands on those other ones that are pending or are still on the drawing board
and begin to use it to run down the performance of the administration, this is
very wrong.
They'll look for wherever corpses
or refuse heaps or flood site are located any in the world snap them and use
them to buttress their facts against the government. Some those publications
may be exaggerations blown beyond measures and people who do not stay at home
including potential investors on reading these fallacies their minds would be
boiling against the Govt.
You can see here that the real
problem we have in our state is the recent swarm of destructive critics and
their selfish sponsors who are only targeting a political office and would
never perform magic. The same thing they were criticizing another person they
even do worst.
As at the time of filing in this report, the
state government was yet to respond to Dr. Asuquo’s open letter to the governor
of Cross River State.
