Information reaching our news desk has it that the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Pst. Usani Usani, has just been suspended by the Cross River state Chapter of APC.
According to our source, an APC stakeholder, Mr. Obono Onen, the minister was suspended today at about 3pm in Calabar in an emergency meeting called by the acting state chairman Mr. John Ochala.
"The minister called for a meeting in Abuja on Tuesday this week, were he picked a new state chairman Etim John, to replace the current acting state chairman, Mr John Ochala. Based on that, the acting state chairman Mr. Ochala had to also call for an emergency exco meeting today were the decision to suspend the minister was taken."
Another source told TDN that the Minister was suspended by the APC State Working Committee based on his anti party activities and insubordination.
As at the time of this report, TDN could not get in touch with the minister.
