As the world keeps up the fight against the dreaded Covid-19 virus that the last year, members of the Cross River State Executive Council have taken the vaccines meant to protect against the virus.
This was contained in an appreciation message by the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Betta Edu who informed that such act will be a boaster to many Cross Riverians to turn out in their numbers to be vaccinated.
According to the message co-signed Dr. Betta Edu who is also the Chairman of the Cross River state COVID-19 Taskforce and the Director-General of Cross River State Primary Health Care Development Agency Dr. Janet Ekpeyong, members of the state Executive council of Cross River state are Leading by example.
The message called on Cross Riverians to come out In mass numbers to get vaccinated to help the state get to the level of herd immunity.
The Commissioner noted that it is so painful to lose people to COVID-19 when a solution abounds. "Don't wait till you lose a loved one; get vaccinated today. 100% of people who have died from COVID19 so far in Cross River State are UNVACCINATED!"
