YALI Set To Build Capacity of Young People in C'River

The newly inaugurated State Coordinator of Young African Leadership Initiative YALI, Tony Ebugwai has promised to embark on aggressive youth development programs that will build the capacity of young persons in Cross River State.

Ebugwai made this known while speaking with newsmen shortly after he and other 5 persons were sworn in as members of the State Executive Council for YALI Network in Cross River State. The Radio Broadcaster informed that the program his administration will be initiating will not only be developmental to build the capacity of youths but will be in line with the Sustainable Development Goals, SDG.

He used the opportunity to invite young people in Cross River State to take advantage of the opportunities of YALI Network Programs to develop themselves and push their careers forward. He also informed that YALI provides opportunities for young persons to be part of the yearly Mandela Fellowship Program in America and the Regional Fellowship in Ghana. The new State Coordinator also noted that YALI offers short online certificate courses for members in various areas of life, ranging from personal development to career building and skills enhancement.

Also speaking at the event, the Secretary of the Election Committee, Omojeti Kennedy, advised the newly sworn in Executives to take the Network forward and ensure that YALI Network is given visibility across the state.

The YALI Movement was initially founded by the former President of the United States Of America, Barrack Obama to aid Young Africans to equip Youth in becoming better Leaders. The network has since then been dedicated in its course as a lot of Young Persons in Nigeria and Africa have their unique YALI story to tell.

YALI movement and many others out there are platforms that serve Young Persons to the best of their efforts and I say it is high time the youth stoping lamenting the plight of the Nation's economy but have a mental shift and try to engage in the community as well as personal developments.
