The member representing Akamkpa/Biase Federal Constituency in the Green Chambers of the National Assembly was yesterday, the 28th of October, 2022 conferred with the prestigious award for quality representation and outstanding performance at the National Assembly and other functions within the purvey of his office and other functions by the Cross River Youths In Politics at the Transcorp Hotels.
Receiving the award on behalf of the lawmaker, Prince Paul Effiong, the Director of Operations for the Rt. Hon. Daniel Asuquo Senatorial Campaign Organization conveyed the message of goodwill to the organizers of the event for finding him worthy of the award.
When contacted, Rt. Hon. Daniel Asuquo said that he dedicates the award to God and his constituency for finding him worthy to represent them at the National Assembly for three terms. He also added that the state cannot be forgotten and all those outside the state who in one way or the other contributed to who he is now and had helped and are still helping in making Nigeria a better place.
However, in a media chat with Primetime News, the Director of Operations, Prince Paul stated that the award is a testimony of his staggering performance which has not been hidden from the public hence the recognition by the youth organization who has been following his activities.
"It's on record that Rt. Hon. Asuquo has attracted projects into his constituency and the state to the tune of 4 Billion Naira, and this is unrivaled. This is no mean feat as it requires one with the right connection to be able to pull this through with ease, which is the reason we are craving for this to be replicated in the Cross River Southern Senatorial District which he is contesting under the Labour Party".
"You can say that our senator-to-be is OBIDIENT and YUSFUL" if you look at the ideology that drives the Labour Party, so much premium is placed on the people and how life could be made meaningful, the reason why Mr. Obi is advocating for a production economy rather than a consuming economy.
Chief Asuquo's peoples' oriented programmes are seen everywhere in school projects spread across his constituency and the state as a whole. This is applicable in the health sector, markets, police stations, job opportunities, transformers, and direct interventions in electricity restoration, bridges, culverts, etc, and recently in the intervention works at Akpabuyo for electricity and a palliative bridge at New Ndebiji in Akamkpa.
