As arrangement reach conclusion for five visitation of Labour Party Presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi and his running mate, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, to Calabar, the Party's Senatorial candidate for Cross River South, Rt. Hon. Daniel Asuquo has boasted that the U.J Esuene stadium, venue for the event will be filled to the brim for the first time.
Asuquo, who is the current member representing Akamkpa/Biase federal constituency at the lower chamber of National Assembly said the 25,000 seaters capacity U. J. Esuene stadium will be filled to the brim as there will be no space for people. He noted that the crowd that will fill the stadium will be organic as there is no arrangement for rented crowd.
The lawmaker, went further to sat that Presidential candidate's visit to the state would be a game changer for the party in the state as it will alter the narratives regarding the perception of electorates about Obi's candidacy in the state.
Speaking to 'Obidient' supporters and party faithful, he charged them to get ready to play host to the next president of Nigeria who they are sure of sweeping the polls to assume of the the Presidency in 2023.
He said, "This is why I am asking all the youths to support Obi. This is the turn of the youths to rule this nation.
"Nobody would pretend that he is not facing economic hardship. Unless you guys want us to continue the way we have been suffering.
"This is in line with the presidential campaign team's plan to meet with 'Obidient' family and to probably speak on the good things his administration intends to bring to the nation.
"For the first time, the Calabar stadium would be filled to the brim."
Asked if the LP is not afraid of the All Prohressives Congress, APC, Asuquo stated, "If you had mentioned the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, of those days that had the cloud, I would have said it's fine.
"APC of today is only a faction of the PDP. If you talk of LP it is generic,and not a faction of any party.
And who are the generic? The masses, who are out to take back their country.
"The people are feeling the hardship of bad governance, bad policies, failed promises. And that is generic.
"The crowd you are going to see has nothing to do with PDP or the APC, but a generic crowd.
"If you fail to be part of it, don't be surprised if you find your wife and kids leaving you to fight for their future.
