...as defectors, community drums support for APC

Over 30 monarchs from the 26 ancestral clans and villages of the Ukelle Nation converge over the weekend to pour out what they described as ancestral blessings on chief Jude Ngaji, who represents them at the Green Chambers of the National Assembly.
The chiefs who were in their full monarchial regalia said they were so far satisfied with the good works of Rt. Hon. Jude Ngaji within the 9 months period of his representation, while expressing believe that if given another chance, Ngaji will transform Ukelle Nation.
While carrying out the spiritual rituals, the chief invoked their ancestors to grant Hon. Jude Ngaji, the All Progressives Congress Candidate for the Green Chambers success in the forthcoming elections, calling on the gods of the land to guide and protect Ngaji who have recognised them and taken practical steps to solve some of their challenges.
Earlier on, the former security adviser to governor Ayade told the council of chiefs that he didn't come to campaign but to sit with them for a heart to heart discussion to know their plight so as to enable him present it on the flow of the national assembly for speedily intervention. He also presented documents as evidence of the various attempt made towards fixing the Ukelle road. He said the project is beyond the state government which will need intervention from the Federal Government.
Ngaji informed that he has laid the needed foundation in terms of lobbying and experts from the Federal Ministry of Works had come to take measurement of the road and all things being equal with little push when he is elected to return to the house the road will be captured in the budget and implemented.
In another development, a sitting ward secretary of the People's Democratic Party, Hon. Francis Igbologidi defected with a crowd of supporters to join the All Progressives Congress courtesy of Hon. Jude Ngaji.
Speaking during the defection, Hon. Igbologidi said having been a politician with several years of experience, he has come to the conclusion that APC is the party to support as their reward system is second to none. While commending leadership of the party for inclusiveness.
Speaking at the event, the member representing Yala II state constituency at the Cross River State House of Assembly, Hon. Cynthia Nkasi, said the only way the people will have effective representation that will yield dividends of democracy for them is to vote APC from top to bottom. She said this will foster synergy and collaboration amongst their various representatives and leaders in government.
The Director General of Campaign, Hon. Oko Sunday Ebeku popularly called OTOLO said if the people vote APC in all the five ballots, the good works of Governor Ben Ayade will be sustained as some of his projects and policies will be sustained.
