| Jude Ngaji addressing Supporters on election violence |

As violence begin to characterise the 2023 elections in Northern Cross River State, the member representing Ogoja/ Yala Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Jude Ngaji has called on youths from the district and his supporters to eschew violence and embrace a peaceful election.
The MP who was addressing a group of supporters early this morning at his hometown said the best form of protest is at the polling boots with PVCs, calling on his supporters to endeavour to canvass for votes by taking at least ten persons each to their various voting points and stop destroying billboards and posters of opponents.
"What I want to tell all of you here is that nobody should scare anybody, don't be afraid. Don't carry knife, don't carry gun, don't carry Marchet. Let your PVC be your guns, knife and Marchet".
"Your PVC is your guns, your PVC marchet. But the sacrifices you make on that Election Day by not going to farm shall not be forgotten. Mobilise yourselves. Each of you endeavours to take at least ten persons to the elections ground to vote." He advised.
Speaking further, Ngaji had encouraged supporters to continue in the good works of supporting and promoting the party and his campaign activities. Stating that he might not be able to reach out to all of them at the same time, but God will crown their labour of love with success and blessings.
"I may not be able to solve everybody's problem, I may not be able to reach everybody at the same time or know everybody working, but God sees all and He knows you are doing it from your heart." He said.
Earlier on, a support group known as Tete B'na meaning continuity, progress, had donated campaign T-shirts and other materials in support of Ngaji's election. Speaking exclusively with TDN,
Comrade Monang Joseph the DG of the group, said they believe in Jude Ngaji and are very sure that he will continue in his good works for his people if given an opportunity. He added that as a support group, they will engage in sensitisation campaigns at the grassroots to ensure everybody comes out on Election Day to vote for Hon. Jude Ngaji.
It should be recalled recently destruction of campaign billboards across party lines had taken the day in Northern Cross River with Ogoja youths playing the major role, it took the intervention of the government to arrest the situation after 30 youths were arrested for reelection violence.
