CALABAR - The newly elected Chairman of Akamkpa Local Government Area, Hon. Felix Akposi, has expressed deep gratitude to the people of Akamkpa for their support and trust in him. In his inaugural message of appreciation, Hon. Akposi pledged his commitment to serve with humility, transparency, and dedication, vowing to uphold the interests and well-being of all residents.
Hon. Akposi, whose campaign was anchored on the slogan "Serve the People," cited his faith and guiding principles as the foundation for his leadership. "With unwavering faith, I begin this mission to serve Akamkpa in the spirit of humility and dedication, inspired by my guiding mantra: 'Serve the People' (Mark 10:45)," he stated, reaffirming his commitment to promoting sustainable development, advocating for residents' rights, and fostering a peaceful, prosperous community.
He thanked Governor Sen. Prince Bassey Edet Otu, whose leadership he described as a beacon for his own journey. "Under his guidance, I am inspired to align my efforts with his policy direction to bring about meaningful transformation in Akamkpa," Hon. Akposi said, pledging to work in tandem with the Governor's administration to ensure the dividends of democracy reach every citizen.
Hon. Akposi also acknowledged his wife, Mrs. Glory Felix Akposi, for her unyielding support, as well as Barr. Alphonsus Eba, APC State Chairman, and the executive team for their immense backing. He extended special thanks to Mr. Ironbar, the Chief of Staff to the Governor, for his "guidance and strategic counsel," which he said helped shape his vision for Akamkpa's growth.
Additionally, Hon. Akposi expressed gratitude to the Akamkpa Campaign Council led by Ntufam Raphael Ntui, the Chapter Chairman, and Mr. Christian Lawrence Attah, the Campaign Director-General, whose dedication and tireless work contributed significantly to his election victory. He praised the chapter executive, local councilors, and women leaders for their unity and commitment.
Hon. Akposi further lauded the youth of Akamkpa for their enthusiasm and support, acknowledging that their energy has been a source of inspiration. "My pledge to you is that I will work tirelessly to create opportunities that empower our youth and foster their potential," he added.
In his closing remarks, Hon. Akposi reassured the people of Akamkpa of his commitment to integrity and accountability, affirming that his administration will focus on delivering quality education, healthcare, infrastructure, and economic opportunities for all. He called on the residents to join him in building a community "that stands strong in unity, prosperity, and progress."
The inauguration of Hon. Akposi's leadership is anticipated to mark a new chapter in Akamkpa's journey towards growth and development, as he steps into office with a promise to prioritize the welfare of every resident.
