CALABAR — The Cross River State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has extended warm Christmas greetings to the Government and people of the state, expressing gratitude for their unwavering support and collaboration throughout 2024.
In a Christmas message signed by the Council Chairman, Comrade Archibong Bassey, the union emphasized the significance of the season as a time to reflect on the virtues of love, peace, and harmony, as exemplified in the teachings of Christ.
Comrade Bassey acknowledged the Government's steadfast commitment to the welfare of journalists and the robust relationship shared between the union and the administration. She reaffirmed the NUJ's dedication to professionalism, responsible leadership, and integrity while pledging to uphold the highest standards in journalism.
The NUJ also extended good wishes to its members across the state and the nation, urging them to celebrate responsibly and embrace the spirit of the season.
"Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year," the message concluded.
