RTEAN Commends Gov. Otu for Prioritizing Welfare of Cross Riverians





CALABAR – The Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN), Cross River State chapter, has applauded the Executive Governor of Cross River State, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu, for his people-centered leadership, describing it as "a true testament of putting the people first."

In a statement released on Monday,and signed by the Deputy Chairman (Operations), Hon. Orok lauded Governor Otu's recent initiative to provide free transport services to residents across the state, highlighting the policy as a remarkable gesture of empathy and responsibility.

"What you have done by providing free transport services to the people of Cross River to other parts of the state is a remarkable gesture from only a leader who is concerned with the welfare of his people," Orok stated.

He further commended the governor for his ingenuity in responding to the needs of Cross Riverians, emphasizing that such initiatives underscore Governor Otu's commitment to improving the lives of the people.

"Since your felicitous mandate, you have proven that truly, you put the people first. Your ingenuousness on the yearnings of your people is phenomenal," he added.

Hon. Orok, who also serves as Chairman of the Outbound Fleet and Private Motor Terminal Operators, expressed his gratitude on behalf of RTEAN members and Cross Riverians for the governor's dedication to public welfare.

"This is a remarkable gesture that demonstrates the heart of a leader who genuinely cares for his people. Thank you for having Cross Riverians at heart," he concluded.

The free transport initiative by the state government has been widely applauded by citizens, with many describing it as a relief in the face of economic challenges and a reflection of the governor's campaign promise to put the people first.
