CALABAR – The Cross River State Planning Commission has joined other well-meaning individuals and organizations to celebrate the Governor of Cross River State, His Excellency, Senator (Prince) Bassey Edet Otu, as he marks his 66th birthday, describing him as a visionary leader whose People First philosophy continues to shape the state's development direction.
In a statement signed by its Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Bong Duke, the Commission lauded Governor Otu's commitment to inclusive growth, strategic planning, and sustainable development, noting that his administration has repositioned the state toward long-term prosperity through evidence-based policymaking and institutional strengthening.
Dr. Duke emphasized that under Governor Otu's leadership, Cross River State is witnessing renewed focus on economic diversification, infrastructure development, and people-centered governance.
"Your Excellency's passion for strategic planning and institutional reforms has set a solid foundation for lasting development across all sectors," the statement read in part.
The Commission further prayed for God's continued wisdom, strength, and good health for the Governor as he continues to lead the state with compassion and vision.
The statement concluded with warm felicitations to Governor Otu, wishing him more years of impactful service to Cross River State and humanity.
