| Embattled former boss of EFCC- Magu |

Ibrahim Magu was on Monday, 6th July arrested by men of the DSS for alleged corruption and insubordination and has since been grilled to answer questions bordering on his management of the nation's anticraft agency since 2016.
Magu was in detention for about a week before he was brought before a panel set up by President Muhammadu Buhari to defend himself against accusations of corruption, irregularities and insubordination.
It should be noted that the Ayo Salami's led investigation panel will be investigating Magu on the same crime, he Magu had investigated other prominent Nigerians on and sent them to prison.
Although Magu has denied all three allegations of Corruption, insubordination and disrespect of the office of the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, but the presidential Committee on audit of recovered assets' reports as follows:
1. That throughout his stay as EFCC boss Magu failed to remit for N550b recovered from treasury looters.
2. Use of various illegal means in syphoning monies and collection of bribe from suspects
3. Makes use of a bureau d Change that has over 158 bank accounts to steal money.
4. Magu convives with some of his staff to launder money overseas.
5. Bought a house worth N573m in Dubai for a pastor he uses to steal money.
6. Refused to corporate with authorities in United Kingdom to charge Dazieni Alison Madueke to court.
Magu has been in detention since his arrest despite writing to the Inspector General of Police through his lawyers seeking to be granted bail on self recognition, but it has been denied.
He has since his first arrest been reprimanded in the Force Criminal Investigation Department FCID, from where he is taken for his investigation which most times last all day.
Since Magu's arrest President Buhari has only issued two statement and none was to his favour.
First, was four days after his arrest when the president issued a statement suspending Magu and replacing him with Muhammad Umar to hold brief while Magu clears himself of the allegations.
The second statement from the presidency concerning Magu's case since his arrest and detention was to justify Magu's suspension, stating that Magu is not immune to investigation.
As it stands now nobody knows the way forward for Magu, as it is not yet clear what they really want to do with him. One thing is certain, if found guilty, Magu has to face the wrath of the law.
Although no EFCC boss has ever been convicted despite they all leave office in controversial ways and accusation of corruption. Magu on his part as said he won't sue the Federal Government for his illegal continuous detention which he said he knows is an infringement on his Fundamental Human Rights.
Let's all watch out for this week as the case progresses, let's see which twist the case is going to take.
