Agba, Orim attend Inauguration of Orok Duke, Others into NDDC Board




Honourable Minister of State (Power), Prince Jeddy Agba, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Chief Martin Orim and other top politicians from Cross River state were among those who graced the inauguration of Orok Duke and others as board members and directors of the Nigeri Delta Development Commission, NDDC. 




Duke and 15 others were among the nominees President Muhammadu Buhari had in November asked the Senate to confirm for appointment as board members of the interventionist agency.

The Senate on 20th December, 2022, confirmed Orok Duke alongside 13 others as members of the Lauretta Onochie-led board of the NDDC.

Those confirmed, apart from Orok Duke were Ms Lauretta Onochie - Board Chair from (Delta State), Dimga Erugba (Abia), Emem Wills (Akwa Ibom), Dimaro Denyanbofa (Bayelsa), Gbenga Edema (Ondo) and Elekwachi Dinkpa (Rivers).

Others were Mohammed Abubakar (Nasarawa), Sule-Iko Sani (Kebbi), Tahir Mamman (Adamawa), Samuel Ogbuku (Bayelsa) MD for a term of two years, Charles Airhiavbere (Edo) Director of Finance and Charles Ogunmola (Ondo) Director of Projects.

Duke and others inaugurated on Wednesday 4th January by the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Umana Okon Umana, are expected to serve for an initial term of four years according to section 3 (1) of the NDDC Act.
